Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience supporting litigation matters from case inception through trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and format legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other court documents.
  • File legal documents electronically with federal and state courts.
  • Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and docketing requirements.
  • Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document production, organization, and tracking.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and trial binders.
  • Review and process incoming legal documents and correspondence.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Support attorneys with billing, expense reporting, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
  • Experience with state and federal e-filing systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with legal case management software is a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of civil litigation processes.
  • Experience preparing trial materials and coordinating case logistics.
  • Strong proofreading and document formatting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys.
